Robotics is a burgeoning field of research impacting many science and engineering disciplines. Conversely, advances in basic sciences are transforming some of the fundamental approaches adopted in robotics. The goal of the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Robotics is to provide an open and interdisciplinary forum for researchers from a diverse range of disciplines, as well as those who have not worked in traditional robotics research, to discuss and initiate new ideas for addressing some of the grand challenges faced by robotics. The conference will provide a unique cross-cutting theme linking other allied GRCs and cement new collaboration and research directions that are otherwise difficult to facilitate. The subjects of the 2020 GRC on Robotics will focus on the grand challenges identified by the community on new materials and fabrication schemes for developing new generations of robots, biohybrid and bioinspired robots that translate fundamental biological principles into engineering designs with tangible applications.
Applications for this meeting must be submitted by December 15, 2019. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Note: Applications for oversubscribed meetings will only be considered by the conference chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.
