The Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics (HSMR) provides an annual forum for surgeons and engineers from across the globe, to network and explore the latest developments in medical robotics.
The Symposium attracted over 500 delegates last year and now in its 12th year, it has become a leading international conference on medical robotics, current clinical practice and emerging technologies in robotic surgery. One of our highlights this year will be a Clinical Leaders’ Forum, in which leading robotic surgeons in different fields of expertise, will come together to discuss the ways in which technologies can best be applied in clinical practice.
In addition to the Forum, there will be a full programme of interactive workshops, as well as the two-day main conference with invited keynote speakers, paper authors and delegates from leading medical, science and technology institutions covering topics including clinical specialities in Urology, Cardiac Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Orthopaedic and Paediatric Surgery.
Highlights of the Symposium will include:
- The final of the Surgical Robot Challenge 2020, an international competition showcasing the latest innovations in Surgical Robotics;
- A full programme of interactive workshops exploring a wide-range of topics and technologies;
- Clinical Leaders’ Forum to discuss the ways in which technologies can best be applied in clinical practice;
- Two-day main Symposium hosting peer-reviewed papers and posters submitted from around the world, alongside invited speakers.
