UK-RAS Network Summer Showcase 2021

Call for Event Proposals

The UK-RAS Network is organising a 3-month programme of online events in the summer of 2021 aimed at showcasing the cutting edge in UK robotics research and industry to a diverse range of audiences.

The Robotics Summer Showcase will run from May to July and feature a variety of events from across the Network aimed at engaging the RAS community, helping to create meaningful connections and foster collaboration.

Within the Summer Showcase Programme, a 7-day UK Festival of Robotics will run from the 19th – 25th June, with a focus on public-facing events that raise awareness about the latest developments in robotics and autonomous systems, and drive engagement with key stakeholder communities.

Through these dual programmes, the UK-RAS Network hopes to create an innovative and engaging online showcase of UK Robotics that helps researchers to take advantage of the digital medium to communicate their research and connect with academics, stakeholders, and different publics in new and exciting ways.

To facilitate and support the UK RAS community in developing high-quality, engaging online events and activities for the Summer Showcase and UK Festival of Robotics programmes, we are offering dedicated training, promotion, and in-kind support to a number of official events.

Successful proposals will receive bespoke training from Dr Steve Cross, who will help teams to tailor the organisation, promotion, and delivery of their event to their chosen online medium(s). Supported events will also receive dedicated promotion from the UK-RAS Network through press releases, the UK-RAS Network website, social media, and event materials, as well as additional support to plan and deliver world-class online events.

To apply, please complete our short online form.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on the 12th February 2021 and successful applicants will be notified on the 26th February.
