Accessing the impossible: miniature robots for confined space exploration
In celebration of the UK Festival of Robotics, the Real Robotics Lab at University of Leeds is opening its virtual doors for an exciting demonstration of their latest robotic systems. In this demonstration a group of miniature swarm robots will be carried and deployed by a robot dog to explore an area of interest! This “mothership” robot will carry the miniature robots on its back like a marsupial. Once deployed the miniature swarm robots will attempt to autonomously explore their laboratory enclosure. Watch as the swarm absorbs information from its surroundings using state of the art cameras, sensors, and computer vision processing techniques to solve complex problems that would be impossible alone!
