Surgical Robot Challenge

The Surgical Robot Challenge 2019 is an annual international competition with the aim of showcasing the latest innovative & technological advancements in surgical robotics.

Competition Format:

All applicants are asked to enter a two minute video demo of their entry. (This is to be submitted online via the form link below).

The entries shortlisted will be invited to London* and present a live demonstration of their entry on Sunday 23rd June 2019.  

*Any teams unable to attend will be considered for the video category portion of the competition and will be unable to progress any further.

If shortlisted applicants will be asked to submit a 2-page paper and a 7-slide ppt presentation. Further details can be found in the competitor pack.

The winning team will be announced during the award ceremony held as part of the International Robotics Showcase Event on Thursday 27th June 2019.


There is a total prize fund of £10k consisting of multiple cash prizes and tickets to the Hamlyn Symposium 2019 and the International Robotics Showcase Event
